We are proud to continue our involvement with the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival to deliver on environmentally sound initiatives with IMG Events and Detpak. Following the marathon, we recovered the compostable cups used along the course to assess and remove any inorganic material before being mixed into our processed organics.

This combined material was then transferred to our composting facility where the cups will spend 12 weeks being actively turned and composted, ready for screening to become a compost or soil amendment for the garden – certified to Australian Standards!

Last year we received over 800,000 cups to be recovered, refined and reapplied through our organics system.
