About the Opportunity:
Bio Gro has an exciting opportunity for a professional Software & Hardware Support Officer to join the team based at our Mount Gambier, South Australia site. The position will provide technical support for both software and hardware systems across all Bio Gro sites.

As Software & Hardware Support Officer you will be responsible for:
• Develop and manage hardware and device register for the organisation, ensuring sound documentation.
• Conduct new user inductions, ensuring all required software is installed and user access is provided.
• Installing hardware and software, undertaking upgrades and patches as required
• Troubleshoot hardware problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other devices.
• Allocate appropriate hardware and software resources to Bio Gro employees based on their roles and requirements.
• Ensure that equipment distribution is efficient and aligned with organisational policies and guidelines.
• Purchase of IT hardware, software, and telecommunication devices.
• Assist with technical support and help desk when required.
• Maintain and monitor IT consumables across all sites.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other devices.
• Contribute to recommendations and ICT strategic planning.
• Assist in Network management and administration including user access and permissions.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field desirable
• Proven experience in software and hardware support roles.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical users.
• Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support services Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications.
• Highly developed ability to attend to detail and to produce accurate work.
• Ability to be professional, resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
• Developed ability to organise, multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
• Demonstrate initiative
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
